Firefox 3 goes on a diet

    yes indeed, firefox 3 is a revolution.

    still does not work with IRC links, text is not copied to the clipboard. :rolleyes:

    im sure they think of it as a security measure, but to me.. its just hassle.

    yup, i'm using firefox 3 beta 4 and it's just faster... and more pretty ;) but funcionality doesn't change I guess.

    FF2b4 is really fast. I was quite happy with the speed of v2 but it still havent peaked it seems :)
    Since I use many extensions firefox has always been a (tiny) bit slower than IE and Opera, but now with this version it is only milliseconds behind imo. The memory issue has never bothered me, but it is nice that they managed to reduce it for those who cares.
    With a little help by nightly tester tools all my extensions are compatible too.

    I'm really impressed by the rendering speed, I must say. ff3 flies now.
    Not quite so keen on the new icons though, especially the new reload button.

    If it's so good, when are they going to release it? I know, when it's ready. LOL So why tease us? :)

    What tease? If you want to see what Firefox 3 is like, you can try the current beta.
