Been using the RCs for a couple of weeks already without any issues.

One thing I found disturbing was the number of vulnerabilities fixed that, presumably, existed in 3.6.12. I mean, despite the fact that there were ~9 vulnerabilities marked "Critical", did we actually hear about any of them until .13 was released?

Regardless, I'm considering following my usual procedure which is to wait a week, more or less, and then go ahead and install the next version (which, in this case, is 3.6.14pre). The downside, obviously, is that some things might break during these minor releases. However, I'm thinking that the upside, in the form of vulnerabilities popping up in the interim being fixed, outweighs any downside. Is there any semblance of logic in that?

Yes, actually, I have experience with this. Ever since the post you quoted in your response, I dumped 3.6.13 in favor of 3.6.14pre. In fact, I update Firefox (Namoroka) on a daily basis. I have noticed absolutely no ill-effects whatsoever, at least no more than I typically experienced when using officially released versions.

I have no plans to revert to 3.6.13 and, in the future, plan to continue to use the latest nightly build. I'll admit that my assumption could very well be completely erroneous, but it certainly seems to me that any security/stability issues get resolved in the nightlies well before they ever make it into the official versions.
