I removed WMP so explorer can't show it, and the bitrates reported by ZoomPlayer are a little off because its an average. How else could I check?

Right click the file in question and check Properties. Next, look at the Summary Tab. Finally, open the Advanced button and scroll down. The bitrate should be listed there (at least it is on mine. ;) )

If ur using XP then in the folder view hover ur cursor over it, bit rate should appear near the botom of the detail.
