file shredder or eraser ?

i guess there are many files/folder shredder

mac has one integrated in OS


which is the best ?
file shredder or eraser?

are there some good alternative?

I don't know which is best, but I've used Eraser in the past and it worked well.

 

I use Eraser, it has a more completely approach than others.

can udnerstand why microsoft haven't

for example w7 did have a shredder tools

 

Well, actually Microsoft has such a tool available for free download: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897443.aspx. You may find there the explanation behind Windows default behavior on this matter.

Now talking about my last post here, I must say that I'm not using Eraser anymore! I'm now trying Jetico BCWipe and its "Transparent Wiping" feature is awesome.

 

the microsoft tool is a command line is not comfortable


jetico seems great
it is not free
eraser toasted many usb stick and an external hd
