Any recommendations as to which, if any, reg cleaners work well with FD-ISR ?

    I have available:

Crap Cleaner ---- seems to be ok
Jv16 power tools 2006 --- not used yet
Tune Up Utilities 2007 --- not used yet
Reg Vac --- not used yet
Reg Seeker 1.52 ---- caused FD-ISR not to work but system still accessable
No problem once found which entries to exclude.
    Easy Cleaner... not used yet

I regularly use Jv16 and Tune Up; both cause no problems with FD-ISR.

Crap Cleaner ---- works for me
Jv16 power tools 2006 --- last freeware version (prolly ood by now) works OK too

    Just ran these 5
    CC: nil issues
    JV16: nil issues
    Eusing: 347 entries !!
    RegSeeker: 726 entries !!
    Easy Cleaner 2.0: 207 entries !!

Never really know what to make of the last three and so leave them alone
    Regards

I've also used Regsupreme Pro with no issues.

    Thanks

    Jv16 powertools 2006 - no problem
Tuneup utilities 2007 - no problem

Reg Cleaner - removed too much - no way to set exclusions that I can see

with RegSeeker 1.52 I had to exclude 3 reference to
    C:\$ISR\0\ISRService.exe

The easy way is to open the exclude notepad and enter:

    2|SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\ISRService

    2|SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\ISRService

    2|SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ISRService

I would imagine that any other Reg cleaning programs causing problems would require the same type of exclusions.

    Hi Longview

I take my hat off to you, in upholdiing the Wilders tradition, of torturing a product to death.:D Although I am teasing, this is actually great, as it benefits others, and helps make products better.

    Cheers,

    Pete

I have tried all these paid versions:

    TuneUp Utilities 2006
    RegVac
    Registry First Aid
    Registry Mechanic
    WinASO Registry Cleaner

They took out entries to where they disbaled one or more programs on my system.

Then I tried RegSupreme Pro paid version and it has never disabled anything on my system. I love this program because I can trust it. The aggressive cleaning goes deep into the system where these others I used before would never even find this stuff.
