Well, I meant viable alternatives that don't risk vanishing overnight Maxathon has a good chance of gaining some ground if more word gets out and the development team stays on their toes and don't argue back and forth over things like skins and other unimportant stuff (which they're evidently doing right now with v4/Cloud). What with the issues of Opera site rendering and addon weakness, I may be sticking to IE 10 on Win 7 for a while. If they don't intend to release a final, I don't know what I'll do. But I'd like to stay with multi-process browsers that have good ad-blocking ability and are decently fast and secure. I'm not a huge fan of TPL-based ad blocking as it's harder to block things it misses, but I can't have everything. Chrome is getting annoying and starting to freeze often, and really I only took its for it security to begin with.
Im using comodo dragon because it is the fastest ive tried. But i am very fond of firefox but the updates are too much.
Just installed IE10 for curiosity, I had instantly to go back to IE9...my Pc (W7) was freezing, I had to make an "hard reboot"..
That seems backwards to me. But even so, if it works in WIN8 wouldn't it automatically work in WIN7? It seems like backward technology.
I am currently using Chrome as I was experiencing peculiar slowdown issues with IE9. Those issues went away with Chrome, but even so I won't say that it's my favorite as I really do not like it's user-interface, so I'm thinking of trying Opera. Are you Opera users experiencing difficulties with any websites? Wendi
Hi Trooper, I would, but to be honest I got kind of put-off with all of the reports of the many FF updates. Wendi
Opera can break some Yahoo! News pages for me (although they are still usually legible) but apart from that, no.
I've been working with IE 10 the last couple of days. I have to say that it's a really nice browser, even for a preview. It's x64, pages load fast (except for verge.com..Christ that's an exercise in patience..and a few others.) . My only issues are that I hate having to organize my bookmarks into folders, deleting browsing data very rarely will not work, and I get some ugly page rendering issues at times, especially here: http://www.theverge.com/. The content overlaps text and it just looks awful. Other than that, I could see it being my main/"favorite" browser.
I don't know how Safari even got its little tiny pink bar, considering no one voted for it Mercy I suppose? If the poll stopped right now, FF would win by 0.0106...I'm not sure I'd bother handing out a trophy for that, lol.
Wilders is full of stubborn, ole school people that usually do not welcome change as easily as other people. I could be one of those depending on what we are talking about.
