Just noticed that it has become shareware. From where I can find the last free version?

    Thanks

    Maybe try HERE.
4th download on the left. Just d\l`d it with no problem. Read the included License. Saw no mention of shareware, crippled ware, or time limitation.

I just checked download.com and it still has v2.2 which is freeware. I'm a little fuzzy about the differences between FastStone MaxView and FastStone Image Viewer (whose latest version, v3.6, is still freeware); both are image viewers.

Why the hell would you keep the full image viewer freeware while making the lightweight one which can do much less shareware? I think Faststone Viewer will be shareware soon too.

I was wondering the same thing. I never saw the purpose behind MaxView since Faststone Image Viewer seems to be more capable. It appears that more and more FastStone programs are changing from freeware to shareware.

MaxView is faster to launch though less useful.
