Fastest Free Download Manager?

I m looking for Free Download Manager, Can somebody recommend me the fastest download manager?

Actually tested 8 of these a short time ago and the fastest freebie by far was "Orbit" - http://download.cnet.com/Orbit-Downloader/3000-2071_4-10600926.html

Install the flashgot extension which is also good but will allow you to easily switch between testing download managers.

 

If you use Firefox, the DownThemAll! extension is a pretty good download manager.

The fastest I've tried was GetBot, especially if you rt click on the file in queue and select 'Get' multiple times. But my preference is Flashget classic version.

 

I visit the Getbot site, It say it is free, but there is a buy hyperlink at the bottom of the page

FDM and Orbit, both are good free offerings.

 

I like Flashget 1.72 Build 128.

Careful using other versions.
