    Hi all:

    1) I installed Paragon Backup & Restore 2010 Build 10444 Free Advanced on my Windows XP (x32) and on my WIN 7 (x64) computers.

    2) I created a Paragon bootup CD on the Win XP machine, but NOT on the Win 7 machine.

    3) Used the partitioning GParted software (Linux based) to remove and re-size partitions
on the Win 7 (x64) machine. The computer lost the MBR...

    4) Applied the Paragon Bootup CD, found the most recent backup folder, and selected from there the backup file.

    5) The dreadful error message that followed was:
    "INCOMPATIBLE VERSION OF THE ARCHIVE."

I presume that this is a result of using an x32 Paragon Bootup
    on a x64 machine.

Is there a way to restore WIN 7 on the x64 machine?

It doesn't matter how was Paragon RCD created.

Did you try to simply update MBR for your Win7 drive after GParted?
What kind of archive did you use for restore: full HDD, full partition backup or differential?
