Facebook Is Losing Users In The Countries Where It Took Off First

Something strange is going on: Facebook is losing customers.

Lots of customers. According to Inside Facebook's data service, Facebook lost 6 million users in the U.S. last month, dropping from 155.2 million to 149.4 million. That's the first time U.S. numbers have dropped in more than a year.

It also lost 1.52 million users in Canada, dropping to 16.6 million -- that's an 8% drop -- and 100,000 each in the U.K., Norway, and Russia.

I never did get on the bandwagon to begin with but this is strange. I know some people that are obsessed with FB and spend way too much time on it.

i disabled my account a month back getting bored of the place and those applications which my friends are just so fond of using...
my daily routine there would just consist of blocking one or the other pathetic application, many times a lot more than one or two (couldn't disable the app platform cause of trillian and a few such others i used to use).

not to mention being tagged (since anyone can tag a friend without requiring permission) on countless useless pics and the subsequent notifications for comments on those pics.. fb has turned out to be a vary silly place. i'm not from any of those countries tho
