Facebook introduces 15-second premium video ads

If you tap the video, it will expand into a full-screen view with sound. The company says
users can expect to start seeing these new ads “over the next few months.”

Yet another advertising that Admuncher won't be able to filter, as these video adverts stream through HTTPS.

Posting this on Adguard forums so they can implement it ASAP.

 

Confirmed, Adguard will block these. Facebook is serving them in HTTPS, only stand alone adblocker that will deal with them will be Adguard;

I hope F.B. Purity extension will take care of that too

 

Presumably will be blockable via Stylish, or Adblock Plus.

 

I have no problem with ads from Facebook on Facebook or from Google on Google. A few more millions like me who watch commercials to avoid buying the advertised products and they'll get broke in no time.

 

I don't permit ads. I block them, I stop them, I won't permit them - in anything. I record everything on Tivo prior to viewing so I can skip commercials. I find commercials insulting, manipulative, and bordering on mind control. Charge me for a website - fine - do it, please. But don't slam ads in my face, as I will block them at every turn. Every machine I touch (and it numbers in the thousands) gets ads blocked in some way. I hate them, and I hate how they ruin performance.
