I am, at least I think, having issues with my suite updating definitions. It checks like it says, but doesnt update anything. Right now all my files, AV, Spyware, System control, and Antispam habe not been changed in about 12 hours. I at least expected the AV ones to. I have DSL and always connected and my settings are for it to detect connection and use browsers http proxy. It seems to only want to update on reboots. thank you

My last AV and Spyware updates came though at 18:04 (GMT) yesterday. There was quite a gap last Sunday as well, and I raised a thread on it, but the conclusion was that the servers had been down. Perhaps there just isn't anything to update? I would only worry if another 24 hours pass without any updates.

HIPS would spot anything dubious though, wouldn't it?

F-Secure always releases updates at anytime when there's an outbreak. Though on Sunday's there are no regular updates (on Saturday's there are 2 or 3 updates while during the week it are around 6 updates a day).

well I have about had it. Mine says it checks every 2 hours. Today it said my AV and spyware definitions were from 24 hours ago. After Jerry posted he had gotten new ones today I checked and nothing came. But,,, as always if I reboot, it pulls them across. I have tried every frigging setting and if this keeps up, going to pull my KIS license out.

I took a quick look at FSIS 2007, and found two anomalies. With the firewall setting on Normal, port 139 showed as closed at Shields Up, but was stealthed under the Strict setting. That's fine if using Strict except MSN Messenger wouldn't connect under Strict even though it was allowed, but it was fine under the Normal option.
