    Hi

This is great news! Thanks for the heads up.

I like the fact it can update without having to download the whole thing again, unlike AntiVir Rescue System.

True, but Avira's rescue cd is one third the size of this thing (153 mbs vs 52 mbs) and better detection levels to boot. I'll pass for now.

    Later...

So what is the difference between the two besides the update differences?

Well they both have strengths. But I can download the F-secure one now and use it when I need it. With the AntiVir one, I have to download it when I need it and I could have no internet connection later.

AntiVir (if it uses the Premium engine, I don't know) will have better detection rates.

    Hi

Does Avira's Rescue CD uses their Premium Edition's engine?

    Thanks

I have not see a option tu use the "usb update" method (it do not work automatically)
    Someone have try it?

    P.S.
I think Avira's Rescue CD uses Premium Edition's engine

I believe I saw a post on here the other day that had a link to the Avira forum which said the rescue disk uses the premium engine as well as the antispyware definitions.

I think the Rescue System is free.
