Many of you have probably seen this already, but I thought this tiny clip was interesting from F-Secure tracking a Storm-Worm in their labs:

does that make it less interesting?

@tookerjeff thanks for posting. i've never seen it before, but that kind of live tracking data is neat. i'd love to see this sort of thing for detections of more recent malware outbreaks.

yeah, I know it's from 2007, but I thought it was still kind of cool.

mOunds -- yeah, there were some other YTube links of other storms too but I think they were also older... :)

I thought F-Secure was having problems themselves at first! hehe ;-) j/k Actually it would be neat if they or another vendor could have some type of visual like that you could click in their suite or something...

They could just set up live streaming webcams in their monitoring centers for us to watch:p

I would definitely watch that during an outbreak.

I also found their Google Earth Demo vid interesting as well.

    SWeX - thats true. :)

NAMOR - wow, that was cool too! Love the giant bursts near the beginning of the spammers! I wonder if they know who else is watching them from the sky, or if they even care?

Btw, does the new Norton I.S. have some type of world map on it showing different outbreaks (though most of it may be a still image)? I thought I saw a screenshot longer ago...

NIS 2011 has a MAP at the bottom of the main UI but no one have mentioned what happens if you click on it?.....
