It has got top certifications from AV-C in every aspect. PC Mag, I don't trust at all. Similarly, languy99's reviews aren't comprehensive enough, as far as I'm concerned.

I would give it a try.

I see that f-secure got best rating ( 10 score which is best ) in recent AV-test performance rating.

I had a issue regarding uninstallation earlier and too many process running and slow boot time.
I dont think that it should be much of a difference in this version as only deepguard is changed.

MRG don't have any credibility(in my opinion). AV-C and AV-Test do matter to me the most, and also trusted by the majority.

    And please, no A v/s B here!

    Installed F-Secure 2012 AV.

Not impressed with installation as it took around 30 minutes. With norton I am used to very quick installation.

around 10 processes are running... Should not be a problem as long as it dont slow down.

Till now its fine. I just hope that when I had to uninstall it then it removes properly without leaving much traces

I liked the 2011 interface better .. didnt like the new launchpad and the installation took quite a bit of time with updates taking even more time

Wow, that's along time. If that's the norm I'm going to hold off trying this AV.

I do concur with the statements regarding installation and stuff. No improvement there at all. That's a big disappointment.

Mhh. I don´t care how long a installation takes.
But... the installation for F-Secure takes not so long.. The most time is needed for the first update after the installation.

There is a latest issue and problem with latest 2012 products.

    It kind of hangs .

Today, when I click on f-secure icon , it says upgrading but nothing happens. Now, you cannot open it at all.

That's disappointing to see that latest 2012 version is causing problems already.
Support says its working on this solution.

2 days and issue is still there. :(

Even latest updates dont fix this. I guess f-secure only lasted for few days only since I am going to uninstall now.

I run F-Secure 2012 actually on two machines without any big problem. On my older machine F-Secure 2012 is runing a little bit faster then the 2011 version.

I got only a shutdownproblem on my fastest pc. Normaly my system takes about 3-5 sec. for an shutdown (thanks to ssd :) ) and with the F-Secure 2012 it takes about 30 sec.
The problem is the firewallservice. At this time F-Secure is working on this problem.

About the launchpad.... yes... it´s not the best solution but who cares. Normaly i will not see anything of my AV :argh: and so i don´t see the launchpad very often.

I'm also experiencing longer shut down times. Other than that, no problems.
