I have an external hard drive so I can keep a copy of my music, pics, setup exe's, etc in case of any horrible events on my computer.

    1. Do I keep it connected always or just when I want to copy info onto it?
    2. Is it okay to keep a copy of an ERUNT reg. back up there, or would I not be able to access the info from it in the event of an emergency?

Question 1 . You can turn it off . Even disconnect it if you wish
Question 2 . It is ok to keep it there . Although , I would just keep a copy of the program there AND a copy on your primary drive to be sure .
