Has anyone any comparisons with extendia Kav and current kaspersky 4.5 or 5 . Without the xtra spyware or x download that can be utilised by kav 4.5 or 5 .

without the extended defs, avk should be comparable with Kav. since avk uses kav defs from avk.

Just a side note here.. I have noticed , for those who may have become a little despondant with the slow down on ones surfing and dumped extendia ... (I am only speaking from experience with the single extendia kav ) That running Kav extendia as my only real time monitor that I have not experienced any slow down at all. My surfing is pretty placid and taking for granted the excellent anti virus / trojan detection that it has, are comfortable with relegating my Anti trojan to on demand only. It flows like silk on my system where as when running alongside a AT it slowed right down . Hence my query regarding the effectiveness of extendia compared to kav 4.5 - 5 .
