    Hi,

I have windows XP with SP2 and Explorer 6.0.

Since a little bit of time, everytime I open Explorer my system seems to make strange noise (kind of like an old washing machine!), my question is why?

It looks like explorer or some part of it, is in conflict with something else or I don't know? The CPU also go up to 100% without anything strange in the task manager, why?

I have try a lot of anti-virus, anti-trojan and anti-spyware but my system is clean.

I have try the chkdsk and the scannow function but nothing help. Now, I don't know what else to do?

So my question is what could be the problem with my Explorer 6.0? Is there any known problem or conflict between explorer and something else?

When I am using Firefox or Netscape, I don't have those kind of behavior?

Thank you for any lead of solution,
