    Hi pple!

when i'm using my comp, this error msg will suddenly pop up.

    Titled: 'explorer.exe - Application Error'
Contents: The instruction at 0x71c3ddd5 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to terminate the program.

When this prob occurs, I can't use win explorer and the whole taskbar hangs.

When I click OK, explorer.exe closes (desktop, taskbar..) and then reappears again. When I click OK on the error message a second time, the explorer closes itself once again and the error message reappears. This cycle continues...

Can someone advice me on what to do?

This prob only occurred recently and has frustrated me greatly. Whenever I reboot my comp, this error message will appear after a while.

I also realise that for one of my external HDD, when I double click any of the partitions on it in My Computer, an error message would appear.

For instance, if my drive's letter is D.

    Error Message Title: D:\
Error Message Contents: D:\ Application not found.

This happens only in Windows Explorer and only for that particular external HDD.

To overcome this error, I've to right click on the partition and click on 'Explore' or 'Open' instead.

Does anyone know who to resolve any of the 2 issues?

    Hi Spider,

    1) Type this: regsvr32 vbscript.dll

    2) Use MBAM , X-Cleaner Micro, HijackThis ...

    3) Install Java ?...
