Good Evening ! Recently Re-Installed Windows 7. Re-installed Avast Internet Security and set-up Scheduled Scanning. Also tried Excluding C:\Windows.old\Program Files. Tried a quick scan, the scan reaches 95% then the Windows old files are scanned. This as you can appreciate extends the scanning time from roughly eight minutes too twenty minutes due to the Old Windows Files. I went into C Files on my C Drive and located and tried to delete the files. When I tried too delete the message from Windows stated that the file is a major System File and deleting it might permanently damage Windows. So naturally I was reluctant in deleting the File. Any solution to my problem? I tried contacting Windows Customer Chat Support that unfortunately turned out to be an exercise in futility! So hopefully my brothers and sisters at Wilders might provide an appropriate solution. Sincerely...Securon

Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.......select your C drive.....after the scan, you can select the "windows old " files to delete...
