    Hi,

In the events log there are many entries listed with:
An error occured while downloading antispam engine data files (10016).

I've checked all settings several times now, but fail to find the cause.
Proxy server is installed and since the virus updates are working fine, I assume that the proxy isn't the cause of the error.

I've updated to the latest version but without luck.

Here are the details from the about box:

    Virus signature database: 5627 (20101117)
    Update module: 1032 (20100804)
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1293 (20101110)
    Advanced heuristics module: 1114 (20100827)
    Archive support module: 1122 (20100826)
    Cleaner module: 1048 (20091123)
    Anti-Stealth support module: 1021 (20100811)
    Antispam module: 1015 (20100524)
    SysInspector module: 1217 (20100907)
    Self-defense support module : 1018 (20100812)
Mail server protection module: 1005 (20100112)

So what do I need to check/change to get this working?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

An error of 10016_NETWORK_ERROR can be caused by numerous factors. However, a common one is that the SDK is running behind an HTTP proxy. If so, please adjust the proxy_host and proxy_userpwd configuration options."
Most common reason that we have in mind, is that the EMSX product is unable to contact the vendor servers, mainly due some network setting (RBL conflicts).

This may explain the "antispam is not working properly" result.

That's what I thought too, but EMSX has been configured to use the proxy server. The virus update does use this setting and it works.
However, there is no separate proxy config setting for the update task for antispam rules.
So I can't check if the antispam rules update engine is indeed using the general proxy settings.
