I trialed Ewido yesterday, actually kind of a nice looking program, but one thing will probably prevent me from using it: it is so sloooooooooooooow at performing an on demand scan of my entire c:drive. Anyone else discover this? After a half-hour with most of my drive still waiting to be scanned, I just killed it. Anything I can tweak to speed it up? In my opinion this is a program, with a lot of potential, perhaps needs just a little more development since it is so new compared to the others. (Nice price too when compared to TDS  )

This week probably will be new upgrade released with some major enhancements, resource will be better, no performance loss.

beta testing now: looks very promising.

If you think Ewido is slow, you should try Tauscan or TDS.

@Acadia: Was the program still scanning different files or did it hang on a single file?

Acadia, i trialed Ewido 3 weeks ago, and at that time Ewido was a little faster than TDS-3, 20-25 minutes or thereabout, TDS-3 usually takes around 28-32 minutes on this box (75000 files). BTW. I think Ewido looks promising too. :)

Never mind. I reinstalled Ewido and ran it again. I must have been doing something wrong yesterday, or looking are the wrong whatever, it took less than 15 minutes to scan my c:drive. Duh. Ewido is looking more and more like a winner.

Hi Cochise, a little question i you don't mind :). The monitor slowdowns which three weeks ago were very noticeable on this box when i trialed Ewido, have this been fixed now? I only ask because i'am intriqued by Ewido, but don't se any reason to buy before it's been fixed. :)
