ewido detecting WeatherBug

    ewido AS reports WeatherBug as a potential threat in scans.....but according to other info I've seen, it is not considered malware. Here is a link that expresses as much:

    This is a file located in the RealPlayer folder....and none of my other AS, AV, or AT scanners reports it. False positive?

    well my guess is that ewido detects it because its adware.

    Not in my opinion....however I somewhat disagree if ewido is still calling it spyware.MiniBug. As WSFuser alluded to....it is adware given the fact it does display adverts but it does not collect nor submit personal data which would then classify it as spyware.
