I've noticed for a long time, and in prior versions, that most of the time program module updates are not shown in the Event Log. Most of the time they occur during a signature update and can only be found in "About" enumeration. Occasionally, "The program modules have been updated." shows but from the timestamps appear separate from signature updates, like a "push" update separate from default hour queries.

Why does Eset "hide" their progress? :D

    Hello,

Usually, module updates contain very minor changes, such as a change to open some minor variant of an archive format in order scan the files inside it, or perhaps a change to improve detection and cleaning of a particular piece of malware which has been listed in the virus signature database and so forth.

    Regards,
