    Folks,

    I've been having trouble with my TI 10.0. I made a full disk backup, later my motherboard blew up. Luckily I could restore my disk to another computer. The computer had a different motherboard so after restoring the system (to a larger disk) I had to run an XP install to restore the system. All looked great, everthing works on my new computer, EXCEPT now whenever I try to do a full backup with TI 10.0 it errors out (after 4 hours) with a event 502, partition 0-0 problem. I've tried several times with different backup destination disks, always the same. All my apps work great, all data seems to be in tact, boots nicely, all is well except Acronis won't create a good backup.
    What's up with this? How will I ever backup my system again? Here is the log from one of the failed backups.

    Thanks in advance for any help - Mike aka tuffshed

    Hello tuffshed,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    It is possible that the error occures because of faulty data transfers. Please run a memory diagnostics such a Memtest86+ available free from www.memtest.org for a several hours. There should be no errors reported. Please also run Windows chkdsk utility with parameter "/r" on all partitions (you may need to reboot to scan the system partition).
    If there are no errors with memory/hard drive reported, please try creating the archive to another location. Please also try using Acronis Bootable Rescue Media to perform the backup operation.

    Please also try running a repair installation of Acronis True Image (or uninstalling and then installing the latest build (4942). To get access to updates you should first register your software).

    If the issue persists, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

    Please create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Please also collect the application log of the operation:
    - run the program;
    - select Show log on the toolbar or from the Tools menu;
    - select the log with error messages;
    - click "Save the log entry to file" (the diskette icon).

    Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
