    1. This is normal for Romania, where the piracy rate is pretty high, especially when it comes to the Windows OS.
    2. I don't know exactly what MS detects as Win32/Wpakill, but if it is what I think it is, how can it "allow attackers to use social engineering to install malware on victims’ systems"? o_O

  4. That is why Flores Talpes founded Bitdefender, he knew his home market best. Practise makes perferct, so Bitdefender became a top notch AV

At Romania they find Bitdefender free of no use, because it auto-quarantaines infected files, which is pretty drastic when they are pirated parts of the OS

So Bitdefender can't be blamed for this high infection rate, due to their auto-delete/quarantaine policy of their free version. I now understand those features of free Bitdefender :)

This is not a virus/trojan/etc., it is just a piracy tool.

This is malware, but it is considered the same as the first. This makes the statistic data about infections to be biased.

    1. For giving proper credit, his name is Florin Talpes :)
    2. Bitdefender's success has nothing to do with high piracy rate.

  7. Ad 1.
Apologize, would Florin Talpes translate to Money Mole ? (Florin being latin name of Dutch currency, Talpes sounds like Talpa which is latin for for Mole, sorry again, it is the issue of all people suffering from some degree of dyslexia, they make more, often akward, associations than normal folks)

    Ad. 2.
Why not it shows a clear correlation,so must be statiscally correct conclusion, comparable with Microsoft analysis. Figuring you disagree with Ms analysis, I guess you disagree on this one also (statiscally correct reasoning: The moon is round, the moon is yellow, it must be made of Gouda cheese) ;)
