Clean installation here of Win 7 x64. Disabled windows firewall, defender, etc.

Bought and installed ESS4, immediately noticed web sites I visit took twice as long to load.

I disabled ESS components one by one (antivirus, firewall, etc..) didn't make any difference.

Just to make sure I wasn't imagining things, I uninstalled ESS. Pages load fast now.

Installed ESS again, pages take twice as long to load now.

This is a quadcore (i7) laptop with 16GB of RAM, and 2 SSDs.

What should I do? Can I get my money back? Should I try 4.2 beta?

Are these known issues with win 7? Eset used to be pretty good in terms of system performance, that's why I didn't use the trial first.

No other security solutions were installed before ESET. This is a clean install of windows 7, fresh registry.

Disable Web Protection and HTTP Protection.

If surfing is back to normal speed then install the Beta build > 4.2.

I thought it only affected Vista SP2 and possibly XP SP3.

It was definitely worse on Vista than Win 7 for me, infact made it unusable.
