ESS & Windows Updates

    I have installed ESS 4.2 40.0
    As part of booting the PC, these is a message that ESET "requires your attention". I click on the highlighted next (text) and a window opens indicating that there are a number of windows \ systems updates to be downloaded. I click on the update button and windows IE opens and loads MS Windows Update page. After some time the following error message appears " website has encounters a problem ...."
    I cannot down load the updates.
    Can any one assist?
