ESS installation gone crazy!

    Today my current installation of ESS 4.2.22.0 has suddenly decided it is a beta version - it reports itself as BETA.

    Just downloaded the new 4.2.40.0 which won't install as it reports itself as an older version than 4.2.22.0.

    Something isn't quite right!

    OK, just checking that I didn't click on the wrong v4 installer by mistake - however, still not sure why the current version has suddenly declared itself to be a beta version.

    4.2.22.0 IS the last Beta build !

    Uninstall v. 4.2.22.0 and install the latest one 4.2.40. In the event of problems with uninstallation, use the ESET Uninstall tool.
