ESS doesn't detect Offline status

    When offline (no connected LAN or wireless networks) ESS still tries to update. When that fails there is message that an error occured when trying to update.

    It would be better if ESS auto-detected that there are no available Internet connections instead of bothering the user with error messages.

    NOD32 v2 works the same way .

    It's not a bug, it's a feature to tell you to connect to the internet...

    Then it should say that a connection to the Internet was not found and that the update process could not be completed--instead of saying there was an error.
