ESS Beta crashing ( ? ) under Vista

I keep getting a windows error message telling
me that ESET has stopped working and has to
be closed. Oddly enough, as far as i can tell, it
is still working fine.

 

The issue seems to involve email. I get the
message when i attempt to get mail. If i
disable the email protection i do not get the error
message. Other than that i am very happy with
ESS Beta.

I have the same problem and it is related to email too. I'm using Vista and Opera browser email.

 

I had this same 'issue' using TheBat but only during the first pop3 check of the day and only when the Antivirus protection / Email Protection / Pop3 / Compatibility slider was set at 'maximum efficiency'. Moving the slider to the middle between most efficient and most compatible has solved the problems here.

As a side note, I was pleased to see that the mail transfer was blocked at this point (when it used to happen) instead of ESS crashing and consequently allowing mail through unchecked. Also, further POP3 checks proceeded without issue.
