ESS - AV Protection Disabled

    Hi,

    Just installed a trial version on a laptop which was running Zone Alarm and suffering from BSOD's, so decided to try Eset's products to see if anything was up.

    I uninstalled the ZA without problems, but the first attempt at installing ESS said that some of the files were corrupt, so downloaded it another time and it installed without a problem.

    However, it now states that the AV protection is disabled.

    I uninstalled it and tried NOD32, but it's giving the same error. (Red color icon)

    This is the latest download available as of 13 August 2010.

    E-mails received from the laptop:

    "8/13/2010 23:01:23 PM - During execution of Kernel on the computer NC8000, the following warning occurred: Virus scanner initialization failed. Antivirus protection will not function properly."


    "8/13/2010 23:07:39 PM - During execution of Kernel on the computer NC8000, the following warning occurred: Error initializing file submission system."
