    Hi.
I had EAV work with Windows Defender in real time protection for a long time with no problems.
Now i upgrade to ESS. So my question is:
Can i have ESS with Windows Defender with real protection enabled?
My system is XP sp3 Home edition, portuguese language.
    Thanks in advance
    Carlos

    Hello camor,

You can have ESET Smart Security and Windows Defender run along side each other. There is no known issue with the two programs. Windows Defender is a security technology that helps protect you from spyware and other potentially unwanted software. Since this program is not an antivirus program, it should not conflict with your ESET Smart Security Product.

For what it's worth I have disabled Windows Defender and my system speed has increased. I can't see needing it with ESET installed.
