ESS 4.2.71 install failure

    Just tried an install of the latest version following uninstall/install instructions and ended up with two major ESS errors:
    1. Personal Firewall not initialising
    2. Web Access protection non-functional.

    I've tried restarts, reinstalls, downloading the NDIS fix and just don't know what to do from here. Searching through the KB is useless as I can't trust the advice is current for my Win7 Ultimate build.

    Why is this so difficult?

    did you have some other AV previously? if yes can you use their removal tool to make sure it is not interfering with Eset install.

    Thanks for the quick response. No I've used ESS exclusively, just trying to get the latest version up and running.

    The ESET removal tool and reinstall worked, thank you for your help.
