eset smart security and windows 8 developer

    I installed smart security on windows 8 developer, The problem is that its not letting most of the apps download its info as in the weather, social, just to name a couple,
    Regular internet is fine,

    The only way the apps work if i uninstall eset

    any info on this matter yet or is it just to early to mess with 8

    Yeah I experienced that too. ESS is running generally fine but the weather app and other Metro apps doesn't function well with it.

    Hello,

    The Microsoft Windows 8 operating system is currently pre-beta code, so it is not surprising that security software behaves differently under it than on supported operating system releases, just like any other software which interfaces with the operating system at a low-level.

    Does disabling HIPS or switching it to learning mode resolve the issue?
