I have just installed a clean copy of Windows 7 now when I attempt to install smart security latest version from web site I get a message that it is not a windows installer package and to check with the vendor. Any clues?

Jwilly, I moved this thread from the Test Forum here and removed the duplicate post. You are now in the correct forum.

Hang in there until an ESET Moderator can answer your question.

Hi I think it has somehow fixed itself, I re downloaded the exact same version from the Eset site, this time it did exactly as expected and has loaded correctly without problem. Thanks anyway

I can guarantee the cause of the error you got the first time is that the download did not complete and you only had a portion of the file. I do some customer support as part of my job and see this on a regular basis. Any time you get this error with any software you will want to re-download it again and verify the file size and the file hashes if they are available. If checksums are not available check the digital signature and if it is invalid or missing (on something that is signed, ESS always is) then you have a corrupt download.
