Fix: Lockup issues on Windows XP after connecting USB disks (may still occur if caused by a 3rd party driver/software)

So what are the known drivers/software to be the culprits?

Thanks a lot. Malwarebytes is the only one I have. My NERO is version 6.xxx so it should be alright I hope.

Anyway, everyone knows everyone uses Malwarebytes. Why was this not solved in BETA stages? Malwarebytes is like the standard when it comes to removing things anti virus programs can't.

    Oh well.

Apparently MBAM was not aware of the issue. We've already contacted them and will do our best to assist them with a fix.

Sounds good Marco, I'll feel safe upgrading to the latest 5.x then. Thanks.

To make it clear, if you're using Windows XP and a full version of MBAM, you should disable the protection module (mbam.sys driver) to prevent lockup issues.
