    Hello,

I am new to administering ESET. Our former administrator is no longer with the company and I am now responsible for taking over his duties. I have reviewed the documentation on Basic Setup, EAV4 User Guide and ERA 4 User Guide.

    Here is my issue:
I have ESET Remote Administrator Console v 4.0.138.0 with 145 clients
Some clients have ESET ver 4.0.474 installed
Some clients have ESET ver 4.2.64 installed

I want to upgrade all clients to the current version 4.2.76
I have created the installation package with my desired current config

Testing for upgrading the 4.0.138 client was successful, I push uninstalled the old client, rebooted, and then push installed the new client.

Testing for upgrading the 4.2.64 client was mixed, I used the upgrade approach and the client software was updated but the new config did not apply. I tried to push install the new config and that did not work either. I logged on to the remote client as administrator and installed the config through the client. That worked but when I rebooted, the config reset to it's previous parameters.

Why does the configuration revert to the old config file on reboot?

Advice and guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    J
