    Hi all,

New to ESET ... After install, Skype calls dropped, Skype message center says my computer is "slow" ... Also, apart from Skype, some web pages need to be reloaded .. Please point me to a tool for optimization...

    Running Windows 7 on a Toshiba NB200 ...

    Thank you.

Does the problem go away after disabling web access or real-time protection?

    Hello,

I noticed you mentioned you just installed ESET NOD32 Antivirus. What product were you using previously?

Marcos: I haven't tried to disable web or real-time protection ...

Aryeh: I should have mentioned that I am running a Chinese language OS ... I had a Chinese version of Antivirus 360 (Qihoo?) that my university in China provided ... Didn't bother with it too much, it worked all right, but I uninstalled when I bought ESET ... Chose ESET because a second computer (desktop) I had in China had it installed, and it worked well ...

You may want to contact the vendor for full uninstallation instructions.

    Hello,

As siljaline noted, you may be experiencing a conflict caused by the presence of leftover files from your previously-installed antivirus program. Try uninstalling ESET NOD32 Antivirus, performing a manual uninstall of Qihoo Antivirus 360 following their directions, and then reinstalling ESET NOD32 Antivirus. Does that make a difference?

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
