Error : Service Control Manager

    I have Windows 2000 Professional SP4 and I clicked on this :

    Start/Settings/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Event Viewer

    and I saw this error frequently ;

    Type...... : Error, preceeded by a white cross in a red circle.
    Source... : Service Control Manager
    Category : None
    Event.... : 7011
    User...... : N/A

    Any idea what it means ?

    Go to EventId.net and type in the source and the event id number and you'll be able to see threads on what this error means. :rolleyes:

    Thank you for the usefull link. Worth to keep it for the future as well.
    The problem seems to have several possible causes, so it will take some time to figure out which one is causing the problem.
    For the moment I'm satisfied with the link, because I prefer to solve my problems myself. :)
