    Greetings,

have PBM installed, using 2 identical (WD myBook) drives. One of them has 2 NTFS partitions 1 primary, 1 logical, both active. The logical partition seems causing these freezes, proved.

    Drive map for "problem" HDD:

    Not sure what you mean.

You have one Extended partition containing 2 logical drives.

The Extended partition is marked Active?

That could confuse any bootmanager app.

Try making the Extended partition Inactive.

    Hope it helps.

I don't know if it's active. How do I know it?

This is properties for the extended partition:
    Type: Extended
    HDD number: 2
    Linux partition number: 2
    Partition ID: 0x0F Extended LBA

And this properties for the NTFS partition self:
    File system: NTFS 3.01
    Type: Logical
    HDD number: 2
    Linux partition number: 6
    Partition ID: 0x07 NTFS

I don't see any option about making the partition inactive so I assume it is active already. Plz. note that this partition is not bootable, so everything I need is visibility and drive letter in Windows. Thanks.

Hello, can I get some instructions how to setup my external drive to not mess up with boot manager? I need two nonbootable NTFS partitions on it.
