    hello support,

    I'm running ubuntu server 8.10, the installation of Acronis true image echo server for linux, we are taking
    following error:

    e000101f4: unable to open (initialize) computer
    access denied ocurred during inicialization please run
    under root permission problem

    It may be a day or two (or longer) before Acronis Support responds to a post.

    You might want to send a PM to Acronis Support or contact support directly if this matter requires more immediate attention. It seems that in most cases involving Linux, Support has to provide the correct files and/or specific instructions for the kernel being used.

    Hello echarlles,

    Thank you for your interesting in Acronis True Image

    Please do the following to install Acronis True Image Server for Linux from a *.i686 file:
    • Open terminal (console)
    • Log in as "root"
    • Make the installation file executable: # chmod +x file_name.i686
    • Run the binary: # ./file_name.i686

    It is not possible to install Acronis True Image Server for Linux from X-Window System. The installation can only be started from the command line.
