    Hi,

I've just purchased and installed TI9.0 build 3677 on a WinXP pro SP2 machine with MS Office and some other programs. Windows and the other programs were just installed today.

After installing everything, I decided I should create an image so I wouldn't have to waste time installing everything again.

So I installed TI and created an image of one partition to the other (the drive has two partitions). Upon automatic validation, I received error message E00070020 telling me that the archive was corrupted.

Support - please let me know ASAP what is causing the problem and how I can fix it if it can be fixed.

Fellow users - I'd really appreaciate your help.

So far it looks like I might be forced to get a refund and search for another program that can actually create an image i can use. Hopefully there is a simple solution for this.

    Thanks,
    John

I too am experiencing this error when trying to restore an image I have just created and validated to a SATA2 drive. If I use TI restore from Windows it is OK but if I try to restore a primary partition TI has to reboot to Linux. This and the rescue CD both think the image is corrupted.

I don't know if this is the same problem that you have, but I am hoping that a) this is a temporary issue caused by incorrect Linux drivers, and b) that safe mode rescue will work because it uses DOS.

    Support,

I'm still waiting for a response.

Can you please take a couple of minutes and let me know what I need to do?

I've also submitted a support ticket and have not received a response yet.

I am stuck here waiting for instructions.

    John

Finding the cause is a process of elimination. Have a look at my response (#2) in this thread:

This is a known problem apparently. I have it too under Linux using the rescue disc. In Windows, a lengthy check verifies the image. Under Linux, an immediate message without any apparent processing reports the image as corrupt. If you make a BartPE boot disc, it will check out fine. Supposedly you can restore one of these images even though it is reported as corrupt, though I don't want to be the first to try...

Here is my thread on the same issue: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=146102

Here is my thread on making a BartPE disc:

Here is a thread on the same problem. On the last post, Philipp shows the email from Acronis stating that this is a known problem and advising to restore despite the corruption warning:
