When I bought Acronis True Image 9 in December 2005 I loaded it onto my PC and then took an immediate disk image that ran to some 13 CD-R's. However now I have come to restore that image, either to the original SATA drive or to a new blank SATA drive, I get the message :-" This is not the last created volume of the backup archive" and error E00040012.
As this is the ONLY image I have taken of this PC I am somewhat confused. Can anyone help?

Are you inserting the last volume first? TI needs to read the data from this disk to understand the structure of the backup.

    Hello Miss Ogenist,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are very sorry for the delay with the response.

Please be aware that, as seekforever has already mentioned above, in order to validate\restore the backup archive spanned over several CDs\DVDs you should insert the last created CD\DVD first (disc that contains the last volume of the backup archive) and then follow the wizard's instructions.

You can find more information on how to use Acronis True Image 9.0 Home in the respective User's Guide.

You may also find Acronis True Image 9.0 Home FAQ page helpful.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.
