    Good Morning,

    ESET Antivirus v.3
I'm trying to update too and have checked my update servers and set to Automatic.

The update gets to 75% and then stops and says "Error downloading file from update server" The computer has connection to the internet.

I have double checked my license and re-entered it but still getting the problem.

If you could help that would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Don't worry about this thread I have fixed the problem.

I logged in on the computer as administrator and re-installed NOD. Logged out and logged back in and the update process completed successfully.

Should you come across the error again, set the logging verbosity to diagnostic, try to update manually and post here the entire error message from the event log.

PM with further instructions sent. Sorry for deleting the rest of the message, I clicked on Edit instead of Quote and rewrote the rest of the message in error.

I am having the same problem. Only seems to be happening on clients I recenlty installed. 3 in fact. Getting same error as above. I've followed the steps to clear cache, delete all users and .dat files. also tried multiple un/reinstalls. Even tried different install packages. All with same results, it installs fine, checks back with admin server but WON'T update.

    Please do the following:
    - compress the content of the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\Updfiles" folder.
    - export the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security" registry key to a reg file and add it to the archive

I'll PM you further instructions for uploading the stuff to our ftp.

Have not heard anything back for a few days now, I sent you my config files from a working and non-working server. Any ideas? These still will not update.
