Many people at this forum talk about Encryption Programs as a security tool. I am a complete newbie to this area.

Can someone please enlighten me about their use and functionality. If possible, also let me know some good free encryption software so that I can get a chance to get my hands dirty! ;)

    Regards

    Abhishek

  10. Hi guys... Very nice links.

Does anyone know which encryption option should be chosen for mounting a disk in such as program as truecrypt in regard of today's knowledge of encryption algorythms?

Asking this question because I recently read somewhere that a flaw had been discovered in some algorythm (?)-not sure about that... I think maybe it has something to do with browsers's capability to "shake hands" while setting up a secure connection between two computers during e-commerce...(?)

    Thanks
