OK, working with paragon, have encrypted hard drive, with WinMagic/SecureDoc, version 4.x
Run Paragon backup (HDM suite) from within windows, after bootup (drive is encrypted).

THEN, restored to external drive. I restored c: partition (to H:), then overwrote that and restored d: partition.
I was able to read files in both these (as when restoring, it is unencrypted data, needs re-encrypted)
    but appears to restore well.

I do NOT have a spare drive to restore to, such that I could test restoring MBR and C: and D:, to an external drive, then removing regular drive, insert the external drive, and boot from it, for a completely reliable test (anybody got a spare SATA drive and external power case? I'll test with that, need 250 gig)

    anyway, looks good so far
