Encouragement to make LUKS and Truecrypt header backups

    I see that most in here are "upside down" because of TrueCrypt issues. I am hoping that all who read along will pause and consider making header backups for your encrypted drives. Its only a few minutes and believe me when I tell you its a WHEN issue and not an IF issue on encrypted drive header corruption!

    I have been working with folks for years now and the same old "I don't have a rescue disk or volume header backup" tune really gets sung alot.

    Also, please don't forget about your linux LUKS headers either. I just spent time building a new drive and my final check was to save and store my luks headers. Its always scary to "acid test" that it works, but I did it anyway. It made me think of this forum and how much hassle it would save me by having my Luks headers to restore when it happens!!

    Please give it some thought, you'll be glad you did.
