Congratulations on this awesome release, beautiful GUI and website layout.

Only one minor problem is that I cant get "Introductory price of $9.99" in the new website (it is US$ 23.82).

    Hi Nightwalker

If you place your product(s) in the basket, and go to check out , you should see a reduced price.

Thanks, it worked :thumb: (in the old layout price was even low, but it is nice anyway)

Nothing misleading here. The non-real time version has been free since the days the product was named A2Squared. Of course, the surf protection and behavior blocker will not be active but great product if all your looking for is a second opinion stand alone anti-malware scan option.

It has been using the same scan engine for a very long time.

I've been using V8 Free on demand for a while, and was really impressed with it. My system is pretty clean, but it picked up stuff that MBAM and Hitman Pro (both paid) missed. I had it as a 3rd opinion scanner using it every couple of months. It cleaned the malware up no problem. Impressive.

I almost bought it the other day, but I'm glad I held off for a bit. :)

So I just bought a license to say thanks!

I'm now going to see if I can upgrade my V8 to 9 from the interface.

Thanks for the intro offer too!

I deleted V8 and installed 9. It's definitely a bit quicker and lighter on resources!

For some reason when I exit the program, I get a 'This program has stopped working' pop up.
    APPCRASH.

But it's probably my system as other programs of mine have started doing that in the last couple of days. I've got a lot of security software on here at the moment. I'm surprised it works at all!

I'm not running EAM at startup with windows. I did reboot after I uninstalled V8 as well. And then I rebooted again after installing V9.

    Strange.

Apart from that it is working perfectly!

    Edit:
When I shut the program down it tells me that File Guard is still active, and sure enough I can see it in Process Explorer. I'm going to reboot one more time and see if it is there then - EAM doesn't start with win, but I did start it manually. Still, it would be good if the program (all of it) shuts down when I tell it to.

I can find no flaws in EAM. My other antivirus caused a 5 second lag while accessing files on an external drive which I could not figure out how to fix. With EAM, I no longer have this lag and I am not seeing a single slowdown or any other problems.

    Thanks a bunch.

I just noticed the website has changed. Nice job!

I rebooted and a2service.exe is still active taking up 200MB in Process Explorer.

I deselected the option for EAM to start with windows 'Enable Real Time Protection at Startup' and I can't seem to find any other option to turn this off.

I don't want anything running in real time from EAM at the moment. Any ideas?

However, when I turn off the Realtime Shield in Webroot AV, when I close the EAM window, it no longer gives me an error pop up. Also when I 'Shutdown Protection' fully from the system tray to totally exit the program, that no longer gives an error either.

    Curiouser.

Have I installed the program wrong possibly? I installed from my SUA As Administrator. Should I uninstall and reinstall from my actual Administrator account?

    Thanks.

    EDIT:
Oops, sorry, missed the bit that says 'File Guard'. Just getting used to the new interface. I'll switch it off there and see how I get on.

Do any of you have a problem with the window being too large for your screen? If I open any part of the program, for example, Scan Computer, the windows is so large I can't see it all. I have to drag it around and then I don't see everything and this is with it set on minimum settings. If I click on the square that changes the screen size, it goes out of site nearly so obviously it is displaying the smallest it can! I have gone to their web site and someone else has posted with this same problem but we haven't gotten a response yet.
