I have a Bootcamp partition on a separate drive to my main El Capitan install. If I have NTFS for Mac running, then if I try to 'Empty Trash' on my Mac, then it will not ever empty, it reaches around 160,000 files and gets stuck.
If I look in the Trash in Finder with NTFS running, I can see a 'Windows.old' folder (obviously from a previous install of Windows) which never will delete. If I disable NTFS driver, then that folder does not show up, and the trash is empty.
In essence, it is impossible for me to empty the Trash on my Mac with NTFS for Mac running, so I have had to disable it. This is not so good since I have just bought it!
Incidentally, if I boot into Bootcamp, the 'Windows.old' folder does not exist in the 'recycle bin', nor on the main drive, as I removed it by 'cleaning system files' on the drive.
    Any thoughts on this?
